2046

Year: 2004

Why'd I Watch It?: Assigned for film class

What's It About?: A man who writes a book about the future while remembering things that have happened in the past.

What'd I Think?: Quite strange, but very good film out of Hong Kong. The cinematography is incredible. All the scenes are very rich in content and all the colors are exceedingly vibrant. It's all about this writer and the various women he is involved with over the years (set in the 60s). This is kind of the sequel to In the Mood for Love. There are a few futuristic parts, which are really interestingly done.
