A Perfect Murder

Year: 1998

Why'd I Watch It?: Viggo?

What's It About?: I think it's about a dude trying to kill his wife and get away with it. It's been a while.

What'd I Think?: Scary Michael Douglas! Drunk Viggo! Frantic Gwyneth Paltrow! Even though I saw the cut version, it was still pretty good.

Patton

Year: 1970

Why'd I Watch It?: Jonathan lent it to me.

What's It About?: General Patton (no way!)

What'd I Think?: Certainly WWII-ish. I liked Patton, he seemed like a very funny, over confident old codger. My kind of guy! Rommel looked like George Clooney and Morissey's love child, which upset me slightly and made me like him, despite the fact that he was a Nazi, which I promptly remembered and then was upset at my self. WWII was the most fashionable war ever, the clothes were pretty awesome. This movie=long...but still shorter than any of the LOTR movies.

Pan's Labyrinth

Year: 2006

Why'd I Watch It?: Group decision.

What's It About?: The Spanish Revolution and creepy fantasy beings.

What'd I Think?: All kinds of sad, but visually all kinds of awesome. Excellent acting all the way around. Scariest bad guy I've seen in a movie in a long time. I don't know how to describe it really, just a bucket-load of awesome.

Original Sin

Year: 2001

Why'd I Watch It?: Sarah wanted me to?

What's It About?: A man and his wife and all the bad shit that happens to them.

What'd I Think?: Stupid wannabe art movie. Still, its an okay plot (with crazy people!).

Office Space

Year: 1999

Why'd I Watch It?: It was our pick-me-up after Requiem for a Dream.

What's It About?: Disillusionment at the workplace.

What'd I Think?: Everyone knows about this one, right? It's a classic, and must be watched. Soundtrack is awesome. If you haven't seen it, rent it right now. Hell, I bet half the people you know would lend it to you. Just watch it pronto.

October Sky

Year: 1999

Why'd I Watch It?: We went on a school field trip to see it since it was about science.

What's It About?: A kid who needs to stop doing rocket science and get in that coal mine.

What'd I Think?: The music in this movie is awesome. It's a good, solid story with a good group of actors. It also makes me wish I was better at math and science that isn't biology.

Ocean's 13
Year: 2007

Why'd I Watch It?: I liked the first two.

What's It About?: Another heist, but I don't remember the details, actually.

What'd I Think?: Not as good as the first one and not as entertaining as the second. What happened? It just didn't feel right. There was no big reveal or twist or anything at the end really. When I think about it, I'm immediately saddened.

Ocean's 12

Year: 2004

Why'd I Watch It?: I liked the first one a lot.

What's It About?: Another heist, this time in Europe.

What'd I Think?: *dies* I love this film from here to right over there. It's set in Europe, for one. For another, it has break dancing through a laser field to really cool music. It's hilarious. The music is superb (as it was for the first one too). The plot's not too shabby either.

Ocean's 11

Year: 2001

Why'd I Watch It?: The cast.

What's It About?: A bank heist in Vegas.

What'd I Think?: A cast I would almost kill for. Witty, fun, awesome ending. Julia Roberts looks pretty bad, I must say, not entirely sure why Clooney wants her back, but oh well.
